I worked in commercial photography because it paid.
It had to be clean, correct, and colorful — so it was.
I spent a lot of time on it and did some good work.
I eventually walked away from it. Though I never say never.
I studied graphic design in Gdańsk and photography in Poznań.
But I took a different, winding path. There was always a kind of fire in my head that kept me from finishing things.
Now I photograph what I want, the way I want. I don’t follow a single direction. Sometimes I still wrestle with myself — but how long can you keep doing that.
I’ve returned to analog tools that calm me down. I’ve put my archive in order, built a small darkroom in my basement, and brought a few old cameras back to life.
